Stakeholder Consultations on Refugee Documentation - Kenya

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), Refugees Seeking Equal Access at the Table (R-SEAT), and Oxfam International will be hosting a full-day consultation with refugee leaders and Refugee-Led Organizations (RLOs) as part of the 2025 Securing Documentation Campaign. 

This important convening will bring together refugee advocates, community actors, and key stakeholders to:

• Identify practical, locally grounded solutions to documentation challenges
• Share community-led insights on barriers to accessing legal documentation
• Co-develop collective strategies to improve refugee access to documentation services in Kenya
• Contribute to the creation and dissemination of step-by-step information guides
• Strengthen the voice and role of RLOs in influencing and monitoring documentation reforms

This consultation is part of a broader effort to center refugee voices in shaping inclusive and effective documentation systems at both national and regional levels. The event will be held on Thursday, 17th July 2025 at Monarch Hotel, Nairobi
