Legal Expert & Human Rights Defender Meeting – Kenya

IRC alongside other agencies will coordinate this group of international, regional, and national legal and human rights practitioners, consultants, legal aid workers, and advocates. Some members will publicly share their firsthand experiences with refugee documentation. The research findings will be shared with this group, who will then commit to offering direct legal aid to refugees struggling with documentation processes, including appeals and legal recognition. They will also use the campaign's findings to press for policy and legislative reforms from governments and regional bodies to simplify these procedures. 

The event will be held on Tuesday, 29th July 2025 at Nairobi, Kenya.
